Well, Ninjabee have done it again, another 10,000 hours spent gathering resources, damn you. However that amounts to 10,000 hours of happiness and joy.
In the newest DLC for World of Keflings you are transported to a candy kingdom where a whole new world of discovery and fun awaits, featuring new resources, buildings and schematics this added content really does feel like a completely different game. And yes, it is a lot like this.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with either of the Kefling games (kingdom for keflings/world of keflings) they are really relaxed city-builders set in bizarre landscapes and full of cheery little chaps called, surprisingly, Keflings. You wander about gathering resources and enlisting the help of the locals to complete so called missions given to you by the named story characters. You play the part of a giant, meaning you swan around as your XBL Avatar which is rather nifty and just adds to the overall feel of the game. Play it.
Back to the DLC, the new resources are pretty cool and for a good while you can only harvest sugar, which you then make all your other supplies out of, which is quite a cool new dynamic and makes it a little more difficult to start off. Some of the other resources you will need are sprinkle donuts and frosting. As always the character interaction is only for the receiving or completion of a mission and is gloriously full of the most excellently cheesy puns.
Whilst not necessarily the longest piece of DLC I’ve ever played, it’s just good clean fun and a worthy addition to the keflings saga, definitely one for the ‘to buy’ list if you’re looking to expand your game. And, it’s just 320 Microsoft Points, it’s due out today!
The DLC was released following a vote on the official Ninjabee blog. The next small DLC is the Graveyard DLC. This will have zombies! Woo!
Bigger bang for your buck:
Haven’t picked up the game yet? A world of Keflings is half price on the deal of the week, putting it at a very, very decent 400 Microsoft points.
