Saints Row The Third Three Times As Awesome

Saints Row The Third Three Times As Awesome

Saint’s Row is often called “The comedy version of Grand Theft Auto” but Saint’s Row blows GTA out of the water, and then takes a dump on it.

We open up in a bank heist, instantly in the action with humour, giant heads and blood. The game gives you infinite bullets because it knows that most of the people playing just want to shoot the shit out of everything that moves (And that doesn’t move) within the tutorial, you blow up several helicopters and kill dozens of enemies. Then you go sky-diving!

One thing I really adore in Saint’s Row is the customization, you can have so many different things, you can make your character a gimp, a smurf or even the HULK! There are so many choices for skin tone, build and general appearance. There’s even a zombie voice option!

The game is filled with little smart ideas, for example when you set a GPS it shows arrows to point you in the direction, and I don’t mean a giant hand on the top of your screen, I mean road sign arrows that fit snugly into the appearance of the road.

The music is almost endless, you get a real sense of joy with some of the songs, driving around and mowing people down listening to Beethoven’s ninth is a real horror show! (I wonder how many of you will get that?)

Through a mass range of outrageous side missions, outfits and vehicles you can make the game as silly and fun as you like. I don’t know many games that let you suck people into a car then fire them out of a cannon…

You can’t pick a walk anymore, but you can still make your own radio station!

The Ai is still broken and they can jump in cars when the roof is on, but you could say that’s part of the charm. I would disagree, but you could say it. The whole world feels more welcoming (Ironic considering how many people are trying to kill you) but your partners have “witty” banter, and people around you will surf on top of cars, the new Saint’s Row is exactly what the series needed, all the charm of Saint’s Row 2, with more guns and more fun.

This game is unique, big and incredibly silly. So it is with great joy I tell you, go out and buy it.

Here’s a picture of my character, just to give you an idea on the customisation
