So, there’s been a lot of excitement over what has so far been called “Abe HD” Well, they’re trying something new, getting fans to submit name suggestions!
The post reads: “Hey there, fellow chumps! Here on Oddworld we’re having a little problem… maybe you can be the one to solve it!
See, we need a name for our 2.5D remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, and we need it in time for the big reveal later this year. We’ve considered Abe’s Oddysee HD, but that makes it sound like we’ve injected bigger pictures into the original engine. This is a grounds-up remake with glorious 3D graphics but retaining the classic 2D gameplay! We need a name that stands out and does it justice!
So if you’ve got your naming caps on and want to flex those titling muscles that you’ve been pumping every evening down at the imagym, just fill out this convenient form with your details and your idea.”
You can submit as many as you like! So get on it.
Oh, prizes: “If yours is the idea that stands out to us the most, not only will your winning suggestion be immortalized in the game, but you’ll get your name in the credits, plus a signed poster of the game’s cover art — by none other than Oddworld veteran Raymond Swanland!”
