Johnny platform’s biscuit romp is a delightful little platform game from Ishisoft. And unsurprisingly it is biscuit orientated. The game will take you through 55 levels of platform puzzle action! Which is a lot, even though the levels are very short.
The game has simple gameplay; jump, double jump and re-try, which is shown by the protagonist blowing up in a fuse-like way. Yet levels can take very long due to the difficulty of the puzzle that runs through the level. Some will be obvious, some will be very difficult and require you to use your understanding of physics and symmetry to place jumps off the side of the screen to land on the opposite side.
The game doesn’t just require a mind built for puzzle solving it also requires great timing and skill for certain levels, there is no doubt in my mind a lot of people will struggle on certain levels, and many people will more than likely underestimate this game – I did. Don’t be fooled by the fact it’s such an upbeat game and style.
The aim of the game is to progress through levels by solving puzzles and killing robots (By jumping on them) You must destroy all of the robots to progress to the next level, while collecting coffee on the way. The simplistic and easy gameplay seems to stop this game from getting too boring and repetitive.
In terms of sound it’s got a funky little retro style beat that compliments the game well. The protagonist has an odd accent, and it’s hard to understand him, but I think it is meant to be like that, I’m pretty sure he says “Cheers mate” When you pick up so much coffee.
It’s just a very simple and fun game, there isn’t a great deal to it. But I’d strongly suggest giving this game a little go. Even if it’s just the trial, it’s thoroughly enjoyable! Thanks for reading.
