The seasonal sequel to a biscuity romp. More levels and more fun, it’s jingle all the way for Johnny Platform.
“Johnny Platform Saves Christmas” is the sequel to “Johnny Platform’s Biscuit Romp” (You can find a review of that here – Johnny Platform’s Biscuit Romp).
It improves on everything the prequel offers by giving you more levels, more skills and more items at your disposal.
Johnny Platform is a classic platforming game in which you must beat puzzles and enemies to reach the end of a stage. With 100 stages in total it starts off relatively easy but will have you pulling your hair out by mid-way through. I’m still stuck in the 70s. Our green hero from the north of England runs, jumps and in one of the game’s important new additions – rolls. The roll move is a great way to string together combos of jumps, or to push far away items and it’s a necessary move for the later levels where plenty of skill is needed.
The christmas theme looks great, and for those thinking it’s a game that you have to play at christmas, well that’s just not true. With 100 levels, not every one of them is christmassy.
There’s not an awful lot to say about this game if you’ve played the prequel. It doesn’t offer an awful lot of new features, but it does offer a few. It has almost double the amount of levels, new moves and skills, and it’s all for the same price.
Read the review of “Biscuit Romp” and decide if this is a game you want to play. There’s no reason not to if you’re a fan of puzzles, platform games, comedy elements and christmas. It’s more than worth the price, so why not take some time and help out Mr. Platform?.
