I wanted to really spark a conversation with this article. To clarify I don’t think the PS3 is a broken system I own both a PS3 and a 360. The concern I have is with the amount of multi-platform titles that are released, and the PS3 version ends up being broken or bug filled. If I were a gamer who was brand loyal and spent my hard earned money on a PS3 I would be very upset. The console exclusives all run great and are stellar titles like God of War 3, Infamous, MGS4, and the Uncharted series. I have read over the past few years many developers find it difficult to develop games for the PS3. This is a concern but then how do these developers of Sony exclusives like Naughty Dog pull through? In my opinion I think that a lot of these titles like Fallout New Vegas, and Skyrim are developed for 360 then ported which causes problems. The 360 has been around longer and from what developers say it’s easier to code for, so it makes sense it’s the platform of choice. I really just think that it’s unfair to PS3 owners that they have to most of the time be shorted by spending their money on a buggy or broken game. I am not sure how this would work but I think in the future quality assurance should be put in place not only for PS3 titles but all platforms. I am not sure about all of you readers out their but I am sick of bugs and glitches. I read to often “Working to fix issues patch is in the works”. Thanks for reading and let me know your thoughts on the issue in the comments.
