Have you heard of Red Barrel Studios?
No? Well, that’s not surprising, it’s new. But you’re probably very familiar with some of it’s talent: it was co-founded by industry veterans who’ve worked on such games like Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, Uncharted, and Assassin’s Creed. This Montreal-based game studio, whose stated mission is to “create interactive experiences in which the player goes on an emotional and unforgettable journey” has started off strong with the release of a brand-new, moderately chilling trailer for their new survival-horror game, Outlast.
“Our team has a lot of previous experience creating big, blockbuster games. We’re all really excited to see what kind of fear-based emotional rollercoaster we can build on our own!” said co-founder David Chateauneuf.
You can see the trailer below, and if you’re anything like me, 1) I’m very, very sorry, and 2) It’ll probably make you jump a bit when you first watch it.
It’s set to release Summer of 2013. As a PC Exclusive. Hopefully by then they can get all those corpses cleaned up.
