Defenders of the Last Colony now available

The simplistic retro style space shooter is now available on PC and Xbox Live Indie Arcade. It’s £3 on the PC. The game has some great features, it’s an interesting blend of shooter and tower defence. There are two classes: Engineer and Fighter, the Engineer focuses on building things like shields and structures (Turrets too!) all of these are cheaper for the Engineer to build, and it can build stronger bigger structures as it levels up. And obviously, the Fighter focuses on fire power, it can only build basic shields. But it has three different attacks, double fire, wide shot and sniper laser!

You need to collect blue matter, which is used as a kind of currency in the game to build structures and swap shooting type. You can also collect orbs, that recharge the core of the colony, which lets you jump to a different stage. You can also collect relics, which unlock abilities.

The game has 4 player co-op, 30 challenges, story mode with 4 characters, 12 worlds, retro modes and survival mode. As well as 15 in game awards.
