I’m going to do this review as though I’ve never played cloning Clyde, why I hear you ask? Because I hadn’t, until on STEAM. The game follows Clyde, a young gentleman trying to earn a few dollars. So they conduct an experiment on him, leading to clones. Now to me this means I can cause a hell of a commotion in the bedroom, but Clyde is a very good and responsible gentleman. So he toddles off on a grand tale of fighting, cloning and puzzle solving.
The game has transferred pretty well from XBLA, the controls are simple and the game is good for pick up ‘n’ play. The graphics aren’t anything too magical but the mix of simplicity and 3D tie well, this stops the game from being over sized on the PC which is always good.
In terms of a difficulty curve the game starts off easy and becomes harder, which is good! It’s not like a 90 degree angle of difficulty. It actually develops at a steady pace.
Clyde is some kind of crazy karate expert and can do some super fly and slick moves! You will have to collect things and perform jumps, chops and super two time cloning madness.
There’s a great combination of platforming and puzzle solving, and it has a low price tag, this game is really worth a look. It’s pretty decent in length, however if you had this on the XBLA I warn you there isn’t a great deal changed, they’ve added some new achievements for steam though.
Sorry it was kind of short, but this game is really simplistic joys.
