Black ops is my second most played Call of Duty game, next to Call of Duty 4. I have been pretty excited for this one, and they seem to be doing some great stuff with the story. They’re actually making it dynamic so you have impact on it, which sounds really interesting.
But, as we all know the multiplayer is the higher selling point of CoD, as a whole at least. So obviously, I jumped on the chance to play it. I won a cool shirt too!
I played one of the new game types that pits teams of 3 players against each other. The spawning was as broken as hell, but I’m hoping that’s just because my team left me and attempted to spread out a bit. I imagine on the bigger game types, or if you have a bit of communication this won’t happen.
The game boasts a huge amount of weaponry to use, the amount of attachments you can add to your gun is just insane. “Drop shotters” seem to have been perked up a little too, as aiming seemed a lot faster (Even on a low sensitivity). However it is still not a major issue, because you can still just run around them, because turning while prone is obviously slower than when you’re stood up.
The guns all seem decent and balanced, but I got more of a Modern Warfare 3 feel than a Call of Duty Black Ops feel, which does not bode well.
With all that being taken into account, I have to put my hands up and say “I don’t know.” I obviously didn’t play for a huge amount of time and really I can’t say if I liked it or not, but I was highly impressed with the array of weapons and attachments.
